The beloved French 75 was meant to be served on the rocks, just like a Tom Collins, even though many today serve it in a champagne flute.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 VS
  • 0.5 simple syrup
  • 0.5 lemon juice
  • 4 brut champagne

Step-by-step

Step 1

Build all ingredients in shaker, excluding champagne

Step 2

Shake and strain into a Double Old Fashioned or Collins glass over fresh cobbled ice

Step 3

Top with champagne and lightly stir

Step 4

First squeeze a large lemon peel over the drink to release its oils then add it to the glass
